Summing up speech
We call it talking down or condescending. As if people are saying something that's not worth listening to. In my practice, it's important for me to acknowledge people's perspectives on their challenges. Use language close to theirs, preferably with the same expressions, as close to language as possible. "Looking out through language", as my dear former mentor and supervisor Allan Holmgren called it. I believe that there is a potential to empower people, as I call it in an earlier post. By speaking as if people are worth listening to. Enlightening, couldyou could call it.
